Here's the strange thing about freelancing with an ADHD brain: the actual work is usually the part you're good at. The design, the writing, the code, the thing clients pay you for. You can lose whole afternoons to it, in the good way.
It's everything around the work that quietly falls apart.
The invoice you meant to send on Friday and found again three weeks later. The project that got to 80 percent and then just stopped. The client email that sat in your drafts because you reread it so many times the words stopped meaning anything. The tax you knew you should be setting aside, somewhere, at some point.
None of that is a character flaw. It's what happens when a brain that's brilliant at the interesting part gets asked to also run the admin, the money, the follow-ups, and the boundaries, all at once, with no structure to lean on.
The problem was never a lack of effort. It was a lack of scaffolding.

Not another app with notifications to ignore. Not a colour-coded system that needs an hour of setup and falls apart by Wednesday. Just simple pages that hold the boring stuff for me, so I could stop keeping it all in my head.
A single page to decide the one thing that mattered today. A sheet to dump a scary project onto and break it down until the next step took ten minutes. A tracker so I stopped forgetting to chase money I'd already earned. A few email scripts for the client moments that always made my stomach drop.
They worked because they asked almost nothing of me. Print one page, fill in a few blanks, done. On the messy days, that was the difference between starting and not starting.
